A Larger and More Luxurious Box

Onward through the heat of summer, I’ve made progress on my Thoreau-inspired backyard workshop. The roof was the most difficult and imperfectly executed. Lugging 4X8 pieces of OSB and screwing them in place tested my strength and sanity. Cutting fence pickets to use as faux cedar shakes has been a tedious but cost saving endeavor. Due to the threat of rain, I worked on the interior this weekend. The rain did not materialize but after nearly finishing a wall, I am starting to think this space will be more a place for writing than woodworking. Regardless, this process of planning, creating, and building has provided a safe haven during an otherwise maddening year.
